Mindelo is the cultural capital of Cape Verde and live music can be enjoyed every night of the week in the bars, cafés, restaurants, and hotels. With regular theatre, art, craft, photography, and painting exhibitions are held at the Centro Cultural, Allian[...] Mindelo is the cultural capital of Cape Verde and live music can be enjoyed every night of the week in the bars, cafés, restaurants, and hotels. With regular theatre, art, craft, photography, and painting exhibitions are held at the Centro Cultural, Alliance Francais, Zero-Point-Art and numerous other art venues. It is 9 km distance from the international airport Cesaria Evora and 5 minutes from Laginha beach. Surrounding the hotel is possible to find all the services you may need such as banks, pharmacies, shops, fish market and local products, restaurants, bars, club, crafts, tourist information, post offices, clinics, etc.

The architectural style is the traditional “Sobrado” house, a remain from the Portuguese colonies a beautifully restored historic home in the heart of Mindelo. The interior is carefully selected, wooden, kept the original aspect of the house. Perfectly located in a quiet residential street within meters of the Presidential Palace and the cafés, restaurants, bars, and shops of Rua Lisboa (Lisbon street). The breakfast is served in the central courtyard or roof terrace - we offer a copious range of local produce; fresh bread, papaya jam, goat’s cheese, cereals and a selection of juices, teas, or coffee.We also have a secluded courtyard (Quintal) with a plunge pool and a private roof terrace with views over the city and Monte Cara.We have a private plunge pool in the secluded inner courtyard of the house. The pool measures 5 m x 3 m and is 1.5 m deep. It has a submerged seat running around the perimeter and is ideal for cooling off with a cocktail after a hot day in Mindelo. The accommodation is very flexible and the house can sleep a maximum of 18 guests in 9 separate rooms and is ideal for couples, families, and groups.

All our rooms are Doubles or Triples but we do offer our guests a Single occupancy rate which includes breakfast. There are 9 large Double rooms (6 with Kingsized 4-Poster beds and a further 3 large Double rooms with Twin single beds. All of our rooms have ensuite wet-rooms with open shower and w/c. All our rooms are large and we can easily accommodate an extra family member in a large foldaway bed or travel cot. The Family Suite offers two large interconnecting rooms - one with King sized 4-poster bed and the other with Twin Single beds. Like all the rooms in Casa Colonial, the Family suite has its own ensuite wet-room with shower and W/C.

Cultural travelers come to Sao Vicente for its various well-known events such as Carnival, São Joao, Baia Das Gatas, All Saints or Halloween and of course Christmas and New Year. Internet access is limited. Baby sitting service. Check in is 14:00 and check out at 12:00, mealtimes are breakfast 07:00 up to 10:30.

"Une erreur à éviter"

Cet avis est basé sur 1 nuit dans la chambre triple du RdC. Vu les autres avis plutôt bons, j’imagine que les autres chambres sont différentes…mais notre expérience fut mauvaise. Le seul point...
