In addition to the peaceful environment, you can also try different activities inside the Farm or in the surroundings, and have a taste of traditional Portuguese food in our restaurant.

Surrounded by historical villages and cities, the Quinta de Santa Bárbara, originally built in the 15th century, was owned by a friend of Camões (Portugal’s most renowned poet) named D. Francisco Sampayo e Mello. In the 18th century the farm was property of Jesuit priests who lived there until 1759. The current owner of Quinta de Santa Bárbara, with a strong passion for antiques and restoration, acquired the farm in the 1970’s and painstakingly adapted it into a rural tourism manor.
